Hey moms this is Carrie Lauth from Natural Moms Talk Radio, I had a couple of things I had to share.  Number one and this is not exactly a baby topic but I hope you guys will forgive me. My eight year old already has pit odor.  What is up with that?  I mean really I thought I would have at least four more years before I had to worry about my kids stinking.  I’m just floored.  He comes up to me one day and says hey mom smell this and he sticks his armpit in my face and I’m like ok, sure enough it stinks.

Sometimes I actually have to remind him to go and bathe and scrub with soap and water and I’m just not ready for him to wear deodorant, even the non toxic kind.  I’m just not sure about this if I need to get him to start wearing deodorant.  I can’t believe I might be one of those parents that like has a stinky kid and hasn’t noticed that’s pretty embarrassing.  I have had a preteen near me periodically that it’s like their parents don’t realize that they are growing up and they start to smell a little bit funky and you don’t know what to do because you don’t want this kid to stink but you don’t’ want to overstep your boundaries either so it’s kind of a weird situation.

But anyway, who knew that an eight year old is already having body odor.  They are just growing up to fast.  My nine month old the genius has begun to say ought oh.  Let’s see if I can get her to say it. She’s making a liar out of me.  I don’t believe this; she is embarrassing me in front of the World Wide Web.  Isn’t that just like the way kids are?  It’s like oh look they are doing this awesome new thing and you know the parents–in-law is around, your best friend or whoever and they are not going to do it.  This was Carrie with Natural Baby World (http://www.naturalbabyworld.com).  Have a great week.  Bye.
